This is a local landmark that has gathered more significance . I always liked the interesting diagonal alignment of the frontage of this church, just off Leith Walk. It is only this year I realised it is Edinburgh’s Ukrainian Catholic church. In full, “Our Lady of Pochayiv and St Andrew’s Ukrainian Catholic Church”. Originally built as a United Church, it became a church for Edinburgh’s Ukrainian community in 1965 and its distinctive belltower in Eastern Catholic style added in 1983.
