I use this blog as a record of my sketching, with some notes on the circumstances and a link to the location. As the blog was started in September 2020, the posts will be a mix of recent sketches (posted more or less when they were done) and sketches from the previous two years (posted as I get around to it). Most of my sketches are completed on location (‘en plein air’) but occasionally I will take a photo and complete the work in my studio. This is an example of the latter, a view of Canongate (Royal Mile) from Thomson’s Land.
