Charlotte Square

Sketch of Charlotte Square by Cait Webb

Map location

This was a dull cold day in the early months of 2019. What looks like a church behind the statue is actually West Register House, and shortly after I did the sketch it got covered with scaffolding which I believe is still up. The statue is of Prince Albert, (yet another) memorial after his death, so Edinburgh’s equivalent to the Albert Memorial in London. Charlotte Square garden is usually closed, so you cannot get up close to read the inscription.
