A view from behind of Broughton & Bellevue churches . This one illustrates the benefit of exploring every alley and entrance around Edinburgh. Rodney Place is really just a car-park serving some modern apartments off Rodney St, just past Bellevue. But it provided a surprisingly interesting view of the backs of several better known buildings, such as the steeple of Broughton St Mary’s parish church. Along with interesting angles of light, and some nice trees and fences, I was very happy with how it came out. And a print of it is now on display at the Edinburgh Urban Sketchers exhibition (till end of February 2023) at Edinburgh City Library’s Art & Design Department.
