Venturing further into Skinners Close, you find this 17th century hall tucked away. The intersecting alley is called Coinyie House Close and was the location of the Royal Mint in Edinburgh. The building itself seems to have cycled through a variety of names including Skinners Hall, Cross House. Here’s a bit more information about it from Historic Environment Scotland.
